THE BIG JUMP IN PLENTZIA!
On July 8th BBT took part in the Big Jump organized by the WWF Bizkakia in Plentzia. The Main idea behind the Big Jump is to call for our rivers to be clean and full of life, something which BBT couldn`t agree more with.
Thanks to the collaboration of Plentzia`s canoe club we were able to paddle up the river and collect all the rubbish we could find and in some areas it has to be said that the river Butroi was really dirty. In the stand WWF had information on the European mink, one of the inhabitants of this river and one which is in danger of extinction. An we also had our table with information on the various activities that we organize. And to end the day we all did the Big Jump!
However, our collaboration with WWF doesn`t end here and we will continue to carry out activities together to help improve the situation of the Butroi river.
