TALK ON THE CLIMATE CHANGE EMERGENCY

On 7th November we invited Elisa Sainz de Murieta from the Basque Centre for Climate Change to Mugire Txokoa to give a talk on the Climate Change Emergency. In the end although more than 30 people turned up it was somewhat disappointing that only two teenagers came along. Nevertheless, Elisa provided a lot of useful information on climate change to an audience that was already convinced about the need to make radical changes to stop climate change.

Although governments are the institutions that will make the necessary changes it`s up to us to convince people and make proposals. That said the follow-uo to this talk will be once again in Mugire Txokoa on 21st November when we will hold our World Climate Café to discuss in small groups what can be done. Similarly, in Arrieta a platform of concerned citizens will hold a discussion on the Climate Change Emergency n the Kultur Etxea at 19:00 on Friday 15th November. Naturally we ask our members and supporters to attend both these events.
