Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

The document “Transform our world: the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development” endorsed by the United Nations member states in September 2015 incorporates the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to put an end to poverty, fight against inequality and injustice and meet the challenges of climate change.

These SDGs have been drawn up as a result of international consultation process coordinated by the United Nations, which was begun in 2012 and finalized in September 2015 and which pivots around five main issues: PLANET, PEOPLE, PROSPERITY, PEACE AND ALLIANCES.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals suppose a new challenge for the international community to eradicate poverty, extend access to human rights and achieve sustainable, global economic development that is respectful with the planet and the resources that it offers.

BBT would like to sign up to this framework and encompass the goals and subgoals into our projects and activities. From now on we will try to carry out our local actions with the framework of some of these 17 goals.
