Last September BBT participated in this virtual conference, which revolved around the initial question of how the Transition Movement should adapt in the face of the systemic collapse that we are experiencing and the rise of new eco-social movements.
The Transition Network team prepared an online participatory event to collectively reflect on this issue, framing it in the celebration of the European Day of Sustainable Communities.
There were more than 120 people registered, with the participation of Juan del Río from ECOLISE and the Transition Network, Ana Huertas from the Transition Network, Saúl Flores from Extinction Rebellion, Leyre Rebollo from Fridays for Future and Fernando García from Deep Adaptation.
Under the three principles of the transition – head, hands and heart – the event was carried out and energized by our companions Esther Molina and Cristian Moyano.
In the following link you can see the 3 parts in which the meeting was organized:

The first part, represented the head, with the presentations and the space for debate.
The second part, represented the hands, with a participatory dynamic in which we proposed ideas in small groups to update the principles of transition, at concrete and deep levels …
The third part, representing the heart, with an inner transition dynamic to explore, based on the reconnecting work of Joanna Macy and her 4 phases of the great spiral.
The event concluded with a word cloud co-created in real time by the attendees, where we were able to express what feelings we took from the meeting.
BBT will continue participating in such events!
