MUNGIA´S FLOWER FAIRWAS

Today 6th April Mungia`s annual Flower fairwas held and like every year Butroi Bizirik was also present with Mabel at our stand and Idoia, with the help of david, offering a lovely workshop for the kids. The kids had the chance to make an omelette, and afterwards to paint a face on the egg shells before filling them with earth and some flower seeds. It was quite an intensive workshop and we used 80 eggs in the workshop.

The weather was lovely and there were a lot of people at the fair. One of our members, Viki, was there with some of the books from the Haizea bookshop and of course the main theme was, flowers, plants and pollinators. As well as that, the children had the opportunity to take part in the page marker art competition. A good friend of BBT, Diego from DebaNatura was there showing people how to make compost and a wormery while a friend of his explained the work of Hazien Sarea, the Basque native seedbank.
