Mungia and its Storks
Once again the storks have succeeded in building their nest on the aerial of Movistar and the neighbours look forward to the birth of the chicks. And this is despite the fact that the owner of the aerial, with the permission of the Foral government, have put a third obstacle on the aerial to stop the stork making its nest!!!
Last year we collected around 500 signatures in protest at this action and following contacts with Mungia Town-Hall it looks like that this will be the last year that there will be this type of obstacles. Sources in the Town-Hall have assured us that they have come to an agreement with whereby in autumn when the phone company comes to take away the nest they will also take away the obstacles that they have put. Let`s hope that this happens and that the inhabitants of Mungia will be able to enjoy its storks for many years to come.
