Butterfly Count
In some European countries butterfly organisations ask people to take 15 minutes of their time to observe the butterflies that they can see near them.
As we in BBT have been encouraging people to grow plants and flowers for butterflies we would like anyone who wants to do the same on a sunny day sometime between the 15th August and the 15th September. All you have to do is to take 15 minutes to write down the maximum number of each species that you see trying not to count the same butterfly twice. You can stay in the same place, preferably a garden, park or a field or you can go for a 15 minute walk.
You can use the identification chart to help you and write down your results. If you are not sure just try and take a photo and send it to us and we`ll try to help you identify it. You can do it as many times as you want! Then send your results to butroientransicion@gmail.com.
