Big Jump, without the jump …

Our WWF friends asked us to participate in the second edition of the Big Jump that took place in Plentzia on the morning of July 14th.

The  WWF set up an information stall at the entrance to the old part of Plentzia while a group of volunteers went to the Arbina dam on Butrón River to do a clean-up operation; we ended the morning with a guided tour of thePinpilinplentzia butterfly oasis care of our companion Belén. It must be emphasized that the jump in the river did not take place, as we are not at all happy with  the quality of the water that our rivers have, something which WWF calls “badurrio”, which means: rubbish, water pollution, and a dam that alters the natural course of the river …

Thanks to WWF for inviting us once again and for those who participated in the visit to the oasis. Hopefully next year we can make the jump to the river, the Big Jump
