Green ring in Mungia
A concerned citizen from Mungia has launched a petition to demand that Mungia Town Council establish a Green Belt round the town, that is to say, an area around the town which will not be built on and be conserved for nature. A Green Belt was something that was proposed by Butroi Bizirik a number of years ago and was proposed to include in the PGOU land-use plan. Thanks to this new initiative the Green Belt issue is once more on the agenda and BBT will be supporting it and will be helping to collect signatures. The petition also includes numerous other points relative to improving the environment in Mungia.
