Once again in the month of April the Korrika will again be with us and once again BBT will show its support by buying part of a kilometre and taking part in it. As we all know the Korrika is a bi-annual event organized by the Basque language organization AEK as a means of raising money to support the teaching of Basque to adults. This year the 22nd Korrika starts on the 31st March in Amurrio and will finish on the 10th April in Donostia. On the morning of 7th April the Korrika will go through Mungia on its way to Bermeo and BBT will take the baton with the message that will be read out in Donostia in Larrauri, sometime near 12:00. As usual there will be many cultural events organized as part of the festivities and people can buy the dorsal at any of these events or in Kinttopeko AEK in Mungia at theprice of 5 euros. It is particularly pleasing for us this year to see that Goiener is one of the sponsors and we hope that the Korrika will encourage our members to use as much as possible the Basque that they have and be understanding and patient with those who are learning it, which is the case of many of our members.
