Every year pupils of Bentades school can be seen selling tickets for the annual Christmas draw. Nothing surprising in that as most schools or pupils organize something similar usually aiming to offset the costs of the school trip. What makes the Bentades school draw a little different is that the prizes are made up of local, organic or Fair Trade products, most of which are also organic. These are small gestures but important ones. The products are usually more expensive than other similar products but that is only because the cheaper “bargains” are only the result of exploitation of the producer. So, if you see someone selling the tickets don`t think twice and buy one and if you think that there’s a possibility of not winning, then why don`t you take a look at the products on offer in the BBT shop. There’s now a wide selection of products, including the much-loved, seasonal Fair Trade nougat. Even if you`re not a member of BBT you`re perfectly welcome to come in and buy some “taster” products using our hospitality invitation card.
