JAGOBA ERREKONDO IN MUNGIA´S GREEN WEEK

Last June 6th we had the chance to listen to the well-known  horticultural expert, Jagoba Errekondo, as part of Mungia`s Green Week. Unfortunately, although the subject was very interesting and closely related with butterfly oases, only a dozen people turned up in Mungia at the Agenda 21 room to listen to him.

Jagoba left no doubt about the importance of plant pollinators in horticulture and the need to do all we can to protect these valuable species, and the need to make both people and institutions more aware of their importance. According to Jagoba, it would be great if some town decided to take concrete measures to protect pollinators. Well, something that should help will be the soon to be formed Pollinator Protection Network and BBT`s environmental group, Biosfera, will  take part in that.
