Seed swapping Fair in Gatika

BBT put up its stand in the second Seed Swapping Fair organized by Baratzea. There might have been fewer people than last year but with the help of good weather those who were there had a good time meeting up with old friends and exchanging seeds and plants. There were two talks, one on “Jatabe wheat (and the local “txakinarto” variety of corn)” an another by our good friend Jose Luis Rodriguez, “Bees and polinization”. As well as that, there were workshops on how to collect local seeds and how to use medicinal herbs, not to forget two very nice workshops especially for the children. All in all, a very full programme and Baratzea must be congratulated for organizing it so well. Thanks a million!
