Rices of the World in Mungia
On Saturday 12th May the third Rices of the World was held in Mungia. Unfortunately for this third edition the weather wasn`t kind to us and it had to be held in the Fairground. Nevertheless, it was well attended and the paellas were even better than ever and there was a great atmosphere.
There were workshops for the children, members of the Xapoka Street Theatre group performed a short play entitled Han eta Hemen on the theme of Fair Trade, young Berbers danced for us, there were colourful Colombian dancers and the Senegalese men even got up to dance. As usual, BBT had its stand and beside it was the stand of Mungia: Fair Trade Town.
All in all, an enjoyable day was had by everyone.
