Save the European mink from extinction
The general tendency following observation in the last few years has has been to describe its situation as critical (mainly due to competition from the American mink, and threatened with extinction in the not too distant future if there`s no significant increase in the means of conservation. Since 2011 it has been classified as critically endangered by the IUCN. In Spain it has been classified as “In danger of extinction” and is included in the Red Book of Land Mammals. Its area of distribution is mainly within areas covered by the Nature 2000 Network.
That`s why we want to support the WWF`s petition that it`s making to the Minister for the Environment asking for urgent measures to be taken to avoid the extinction of the European mink.
You too can show your support by signing the petition here 😉
